Historically, chaga (black birch mushroom) has been used for centuries in Siberia and other parts of Asia as an immune-boosting agent. Although it may not look very appealing, it is rapidly gaining popularity in the Western world for its properties. The chaga mushroom resembles a woody growth or tuber that looks like a piece of burnt coal, measuring approximately 25-38 cm in size. However, the orange-colored flesh of the mushroom is quite soft.
Purpose: for immunity, antioxidant, liver function, cell protection from damage, energy, stomach and intestinal function.

Did you know that a cup of chaga tea is rich in antioxidants? Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) is a mushroom of the spore family that usually grows on birch trunks in cold climates, such as Northern Europe, Siberia, Russia, Korea, Northern Canada, and Alaska. You can also find this rather unattractive-looking mushroom on other deciduous trees, such as alders and rowans.
Traditionally, chaga was ground and used to make infusions and teas. Chaga is low in calories, high in fiber and antioxidants. It also contains substances such as beta-glucans, betulin andbetulinic acid (triterpenes), and melanin. This natural product may be useful for those looking for a natural source of antioxidants.
Storage conditions: Store at room temperature, in a dry place, protected from direct
