The bioavailability of Dr. Wolz Curcumin Extract 45 curcumin extract is up to 45 times higher than that of pure curcumin or conventional curcumin preparations! Fat-soluble (lipophilic) curcumin molecules are inserted into a ring of glucose molecules (a type of sugar with this structure is called cyclodextrin) in such a way that a hydrophilic (water-loving) region is formed on its outer side, and a lipophilic, i.e. fat-friendly cavity is formed inside it. Curcumin molecules remain in this cavity until they enter the intestine. There, cyclodextrin molecules transport them to the intestinal walls, where they can be absorbed, while the cyclodextrins are broken down and eliminated.

It is not recommended for use by pregnant women, as it may change the metabolic processes in the uterus, which may lead to a risk of miscarriage. Due to its bile-stimulating effect, this supplement should not be used by people with blocked bile ducts or large gallstones in their gallbladder. If you are taking blood-thinning medications, you must consult a doctor about this use, as curcumin inhibits platelet aggregation. Store at 4–25 °C out of the reach of children.
