Vitamins C , E , B2 , manganese , zinc , selenium and copper contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative damage. Folate contributes to the maintenance of maternal tissue growth during pregnancy and normal blood formation. Iron contributes to the maintenance of normal red blood cell and haemoglobin formation. Vitamins B6 , B12 contribute to the maintenance of normal red blood cell formation.

A varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important.
